Held over just a few hours in a single venue, a pool competition is a good social event that gives plenty of opportunity for people to get to know each other. As a teambuilding exercise it can be very effective.
Importantly, it is something that everyone can get involved in – there is no running, it’s indoors so nice and dry, and importantly for some – it’s usually near a bar!
I have a range of formats that can be used to create the sort of atmosphere that you want.
Everything from serious singles events to fun team events.
Perhaps you would like your own company pool championship? Or maybe you just want a chance for employees and customers to rub shoulders in a relaxed setting, the competition gives them something to do and takes away some of the awkwardness that can arise at those sort of events.
I often act as MC for these evenings, explaining the tournament rules at the start of the night along with any company message you want me to convey.
Once the competition is underway, I can ‘table hop’ and give coaching advice to those who need it, while being on hand to act as referee and see that there is fair play. One of the highlights for me is gathering everyone together and introducing the players for the high pressure final match.
To ensure the event goes smoothly, we send you a pack before the night, containing everything you need to make your competition a success.
